Q & A
-
What is the purpose of this blog?
To act as a portfolio for my writing on topics of faith and spirituality, as well as a place to explore contemporary issues from a spiritual perspective, bridging the traditions of Christianity, Hinduism, and Buddhism.
-
Who is this blog for?
Anyone interested in engaging with diverse spiritual and theological questions in a modern age.
-
What is your posting schedule?
I do my best to upload every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
-
What spiritual traditions do you draw from?
I draw from a wide range of religious traditions. For most of my religious life, my primary form of worship has been Christian, and that continues to be what I am most familiar and comfortable with. Particularly within the bounds of apostolic branches of Christianity, such as Anglicanism, Catholicism, and Orthodoxy.
However, I do not believe Christianity to have a monopoly on the truth, so I also pull significantly from Advaita Hinduism and Mahayana Buddhism, and less significantly from Islam, Judaism, Neo-Paganism, and Romantic Satanism.

What is Mystics Monthly?
Mystics Monthly is a monthly newsletter containing excerpts from my writings here for those who aren’t keen on checking the site themselves, news stories relating to Christian mysticism, and new commentaries about that month’s events.

What is Christian mysticism?
Christian mysticism is a stream of thought and practice within wider Christianity that emphases direct spiritual interactions with God, unity with the divine, and, more often than not, leans away from the idea of a personal God and more towards God as the root of all being - a transcendent force of existence.
